MID SOUTH GREENWAYS CONSERVATION WORKSHOP

On August 26, we held our first Mid South Greenways Conservation Workshop. We welcomed legal expert Laurel Florio, Chicago Wilderness’s Nancy Williamson, Great Rivers Greenway’s Greg Brumitt, and ULI’s Ed McMahon to the Memphis Botanic Garden. Each discussed their unique approach to successful conservation on the landscape scale and presented key best practices to the Mid-South conservation community.

Find copies of their presentations below:

  • Morning Session: Legal Tools and Incentives for Private Land Conservation, Laurel Florio J.D.
  • Keynote Luncheon: How We Leave Behind a Forever Green Tennessee, Kathleen Williams – TennGreen
  • Early Afternoon Session: Leveraging Ecology with Regional Land Conservation Strategies, Nancy Williamson – Chicago Wilderness
  • Late Afternoon Session: Planning and Funding a Successful Regional Greenway Network: Greg Brumitt – Great Rivers Greenway

Thank you again to our sponsors, partners, and all who participated!

We’ll see you again next year!
